Fast-Track Tip – How to Make Recruiters Come to You
One of the easiest ways to boost your job search is to make your profile visible to recruiters — even when you’re not actively applying.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Turn on “Open to Work” in LinkedIn Settings
Go to your profile → Click “Open to” → “Finding a new job.”
Select the job titles, locations, and work types you want.
Choose “Recruiters only” to keep it private from your current employer.
2. Add Keywords Recruiters Search For
Scan 5–10 job ads you’re interested in.
Identify recurring keywords in required skills.
Sprinkle them naturally into your headline, about section, and job descriptions.
3. Share Something Once a Week
It could be an industry insight, a project win, or a career lesson.
Consistent posting keeps you visible in recruiter searches and feeds.
Remember: Visibility creates opportunity. If recruiters can’t find you, they can’t hire you.

Q2: What’s one underrated skill recruiters love?
A: Communication — the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
Q3: What’s your best piece of advice for someone wanting a cyber career in 2025?
